Two people struck by vehicle in Surrey, B.C.

Traffic and buses have been rerouted on 24th Ave. in Surrey after a vehicle struck two people, injuring one so severely an air ambulance was required.

24th Ave. closed between 148th St. and 150th St. after collision injuring two pedestrians

The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team has closed 24th Avenue in both directions between 148th Street and 150th Street after a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians. (Shane MacKichan)

Traffic, including buses, hasbeen rerouted on 24th Avenuein Surrey after a vehicle struck two people, injuring one so severely an Air Ambulance was required.

Surrey RCMP say their Criminal Collision Investigation Team is on the scene. Police expect 24th Avenuewillbe closed between 148th Streetand 150th Streetfor "a lengthy period of time" as they investigate.

They're asking motorists to avoid thecorridor during the Wednesday afternoon rush.
