Police investigating deadly fire at Surrey gas station

One person was found dead inside a gas station destroyed by fire in Surrey, B.C. on Monday.

One person has been found dead inside a gas station destroyed by fire in Surrey, B.C. on Monday.

Surrey fire crews and police were called to the fire in the 8700 block of Harvie Roadat around 5:30 a.m. PT, according to a statement.

The fire gutted the Petro Canada gas station and convenience store. Police said one person was found dead inside the gas station after the flames were out.

The exact causeis still under investigation and the identity of the victim is still not known.
