Police seek help identifying woman found dead

Burnaby RCMP are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman found dead in south Burnaby early Tuesday morning.

Burnaby RCMP are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman found dead in south Burnaby early Tuesday morning.

Police say she was found just after midnight lying on the ground on Rumble Street near Patterson Avenue.

She was rushed to hospital where she later died.

The woman is described as being of either aboriginal or Asian descent, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, about five feet eight inches tall and weighing 125 pounds.

Police say she has two scars on her upper left arm. She was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a rose insignia on the front with black leggings and black suede ankle boots. She was also wearing a silver heart pendant necklace.

The cause of death is not known but police are treating it as suspicious.
