Poppy donations snatched from Coquitlam veteran

RCMP in Coquitlam, B.C., are looking for a man they believe took a can of poppy donations from a 84-year-old veteran.

Police asking for the public's help to find the alleged thief

RCMP in Coquitlam,B.C.,are looking for a man they believetook a can of poppy donations from a 84-year-old veteran.

Police say theman walked into asupermarketin the 1300 block of Lougheed Highwayjust after 11a.m. PT. He put some change in the donation can and walked away.

Ten minutes later the man returned to the store, took the can and rode away on a bicycle, said police.

The suspect is described as:

  • A white male in this mid-40s.
  • 5' 7" tall, 150lbs.
  • Stubble on his face.
  • Wearing a Blue Jays ball cap.
  • Blue jacket and black pants.
