Several portable toilets flew across the road and took a tumble during the storm that whipped up strong winds in B.C. and Washington over the weekend.

Denise Hutchings Scott uploaded the video to Facebook on Saturday, saying"We survived a FOR REAL shit storm today!!! So funny ... Shit flying everywhere."

The video was taken during the B.C. Ride to Conquer Cancer in Mt. Vernon, Wash., where approximately2,080 cyclists stopped for a lunch break.

The winds eventually became so severe that the routefrom Vancouver to Seattlehad to be closed, said ErikDierks, vice-president of development at the B.C. Cancer Foundation.

A woman and her father who was a cancer survivor were hit by a tree during the storm and their bicycles were destroyed.

The riders eventually completed the race in Seattle once the winds died down.
