Possible COVID-19 exposures at two restaurants, MMA gym says Vancouver Coastal Health

Vancouver Coastal Health authorities issued alerts for bar and restaurant El Furniture Warehouse and the Banter Room restaurant along with Lions MMA.

Possible exposures happened between Aug. 20 and 27 at restaurants, Aug. 18 and 28 at MMA gym

Vancouver Coastal Health authorities say three Vancouver businesses two restaurants and a mixed martial arts gym arethe latest sites of possible COVID-19 exposuresin its region.

According to the health authority, thepossibleexposures happened at bar and restaurantElFurniture Warehouse on Granville Street on Aug. 25 and 26.

The health authority also said it hasexpanded the dates for possible exposures at Vancouver restaurant Banter Room on Mainland Street fromAug. 20 to 27.

Another possible exposure event happened at Lions MMA, a mixed martial arts gym on Granville Street from Aug. 18 to 28.

The VCH public exposures website lists the incidents as "low risk,"but the health authority isasking anyone who was at the businessesduring operating hours on those days to self-monitorfor COVID-19 symptoms.

It said it is unable to provide more details about the number of cases at either location, or whetherthey involved staff or customers.
