Gloria Macarenko

Long time CBC News host Gloria Macarenko takes the host chair on Metro Vancouver's afternoon show On The Coast, where she explores the day's news and local communities, and goes in-depth with hyper-local stories.

Gloria is also host of CBC Television's Our Vancouver, a current affairs television show, as well asThe Story from Here, a national Radio One show that brings Canadians the most lively and intriguing interviews from across the country.

Lisa Christiansen

LisaChristiansenis the traffic reporter and all-around music guru for On The Coast. Originally from White Rock,Lisahas called the Lower Mainlandhome since birth. Lisahas been with the CBC since 2000 after spending time in the local wilds of community news, freelancing and at CBC Radio 3.Lisaaims to help you get home quickly and in an accident-free and entertaining way.

Lisahas been recognized for her work at CBC Radio 3 with Webby Awards and New York Festival Awards.

When she's not keeping Metro Vancouver up to date on traffic,Lisacan be found co-hosting the podcast Pop This,listening to good metal and bad pop as well as keeping up on Netflix.

Robert Zimmerman

RobertZimmermanis the newsreader for On The Coast. Originally from Vernon, Robert has called Vancouver home since 1987. He's a graduate of BCIT's Broadcast Journalism Program.

Robert has been with the CBC since 2004. He has a passion for stories of all shapes and sizes: from big headline stories of the day to the smaller stories that help communities get to know themselves and their neighbours.

Robert was part of the CBC team that wonan RTNDA (Radio Television News Directors Association of Canada) Award for a series called Dirty Dollars.

When he's not keeping Metro Vancouver up to date on the latest news, Robert can be found playing hockey, tennis and snowboarding with his son.
