Richmond man stabbed near Celebrities Nightclub in Vancouver

A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital following a stabbing in downtown Vancouver last night that started with a massive brawl outside Celebrities Nightclub.

Fight involving about 20 people moved to the Esso gas station where man was stabbed

Vancouver police are investigating a stabbing at the Esso gas station at Burrard and Davie streets, early Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 3 a.m. PT,as Celebrities Nightclub was closing next door. Police said a fight involving about 20 people erupted outside the nightclub and moved to the gas station.

A 21-year-old Richmond man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

Police stopped a number of people believed to be involved in the fight. They were detained briefly but no arrests were made.

The gas station was behind yellow police tape, early Wednesday morning, but police didn't appear to have located or marked any evidence inside the secured area.

Several peoplewere seen providingwitness statements to police.
