Citizen Shane finds out just how expensive playground equipment can be
Playground equipmentis more expensive than you might thinkand you may be surprised to learn that it doesn't getfunded byschools and school districts.
Citizen Shane checks outthe playground set at Queen Victoria Elementary school in Vancouver, which was built 12 years ago andis slated to come down in 2016.
While some sporadic grants can come in, it's often up toPACs, or parent advisory committees, tofundraiseto cover the costs of new equipment.
How much will it cost to replace it? "Crazy numbers."
