As investigators expanded their search for evidence Tuesday, police said they still have not determined whether a jogger who was found dead in a Vancouver park on Friday wasthe target of a planned attack.

An autopsy was conducted Monday on the body of Wendy Ladner-Beaudry, 53, but RCMP have not released a cause of death because of"investigative reasons," Cpl. Peter Thiessen said Tuesday.

Ladner-Beaudry's body was found Friday at about 2:40 p.m.PT on a trailin Pacific Spirit Regional Park near the University of British Columbia, close to SW Marine Drive and Camosun Street.

She was co-chairwoman of the BC Games Society and the sister of former Vancouver mayoral candidate Peter Ladner. Sheis survived by husband Michel Beaudry and two young daughters.

Investigators have received more than 50 tips and have expanded their search to the south of SW Marine Drive, Thiessen said, but "we are not sure at this point" whether it was a "random act of violence" or otherwise.

Police also released details of what Ladner-Beaudry was wearing in hopes that witnesses will remember what they saw and come forward, he said.

Ladner-Beaudry was wearing black tights, a white T-shirt and long-sleeved shirt, a grey windbreaker with white pin stripes, and a pair of baby blue New Balance running shoes.

Her husband released a statement Tuesday mourning the loss of her life while celebrating her accomplishments.

"Like everyone in the community, we are anxious to see the investigation lead to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for this terrible act of violence," Michel Beaudry said.

"As a family that loves the outdoors, we also want to know that everything possible is being done to safeguard our parks and those who enjoy them."
