He was taken into custody early Saturday morning for a breach of his long-term supervision order, but is also a person of interest to investigators in an attempted home invasion involving an elderly woman in the Oakridge neighbourhood, Thursday night.

He says White appealed the dangerous offender designation and waseventually released on a long-term supervision order.

"Why he was at UBC will be part of the ongoing investigation," wrote Montague to the Canadian Press."We will be having a close look at White'sactivity over the past few days, weeks and months."

"We will also continue to liaise and work with otherjurisdictions to share any information that may assist them."

UBC has had a series of "night prowler" events where aman was seen lurking in bathrooms and bedrooms at campusresidences, and a sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman last month.
