After a stretch of dry and cold weather, wet snow and freezing rain are in theforecast for parts of the Lower Mainland.

A snowfall warning from Environment Canadasaid an additional two to four centimetres of snowis expected for the Fraser Valleyon Monday.A weak front over the regionbrought five to 10 centimetres offresh snow Sunday, with the highest amounts expectedin eastern communities like Chilliwack and Hope.

The weather agency issued a freezing rain warning for the Fraser Valley on Monday morning. Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may be icy and slippery and drivers are reminded to slow down.

The snow and freezing rain are expected to turn to rain across the region Monday afternoon as warmer air arrives.
