Snowfall warning lifted for Lower Mainland

Snow started falling Wednesday afternoon but tapered off later that evening.

Environment Canada has lifted a snowfall warning for parts of the Lower Mainland after about fivecentimetresof snow fell on eastern Metro Vancouver and the western and centralFraser Valley late Wednesday.

The snow startedfalling in the afternoon and tapered offlater in the evening.

The warning covered Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Surrey and LangleyinMetro Vancouveras well as Chilliwack and Abbotsford in the Fraser Valley.
