Stabbing suspect hit with stun gun in Delta

A woman is still in hospital after a stabbing incident in Delta in which police used a stun gun to subdue the man believed to be responsible.

A woman is still in hospital after a stabbing incident in Delta in which police used a stun gun to subdue the man believed to be responsible.

Delta police Sgt. Brad Moller police says officers responded to the 9400 block of 116th Street at around 10:30 p.m. PT Friday night for a reported domestic assault.

"The suspect was also still on scene when police arrived and was non-compliant and was Tasered," Moller said.

"He was then transported to hospital for medical assessment as is our practice and protocol. He has been medically cleared and remains in police custody. And the Delta Police Major Crimes section continues to investigate."

A woman was later taken from the home and rushed to hospital by ambulance.

There is no word on her condition or any charges stemming from the incident.
