Yet another challenge is being levelled at B.C. Conservative Leader John Cummins after at least one constituency president has been kicked out of the party.

Yet another challenge is being levelled at B.C. Conservative Leader John Cummins after at least one constituency president has been kicked out of the party.

Allison Patton is requesting a debate between leader John Cummins and either herself or Burnaby constituency association president Ariane Eckardt, be held within the next seven days.

Patton has sent out a news release including photos of her with a letter she received from the party's executive revoking her membership.

The former Surrey-White Rock Tory constituency association president says she's never been told why she is among 15 people labelled party "dissidents" and the proposed debate could clear that up.

Otherwise she has asked a truth and reconciliation committee be set up, and says in the meantime she is examining her various options.

On Monday, the B.C. Conservativesmailed out letters of expulsion or censureto 15 of its members and created a "unity committee" aimed at moving past internal strife that has plagued the organization.
