Port Coquitlam man, 21, drowns in Alouette Lake

The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating after a man drowned in Golden Ears Provincial Park Thursday afternoon.

The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating after a man drowned in Golden Ears Provincial Park Thursday afternoon.

Policesay that a 21-year-old Port Coquitlam man couldn't be revived after being pulled from Alouette Lake at around 3:45 p.m. PT.

Ridge Meadows RCMP Cpl. Alanna Dunlop said Thursday evening that the investigation was in its early stages, but that foul play was not suspected.

The coroners service has not yet released the man's name.

Alouette Lakeis approximately 60 kilometres east of Vancouver, and 30 kilometres east of Port Coquitlam.
