1 man in hospital after reported drive-by shooting in Surrey

A man is in hospitalafter a reported drive-by shooting in Surrey, according to RCMP.

Sgt. DuaneHoneymanwith SurreyRCMPsays officers responded to the area around 144 St. and 92 Ave. around 2 a.m. Friday, after receivingreports of ashooting.

"There was a vehicle leaving the area some shell casings were located at the scene." saidHoneyman.

Shortly after they responded, they received a call that amanin his mid-20sarrived in hospital on his own,suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He arrived in stable condition.

Honeyman saidthe investigation is ongoing.
