Surrey pit bull attack leaves woman with serious injuries

A 65-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by a dog outside a convenience store in the 9100 block of 120th Street in Surrey.

A 65-year-old woman was taken to hospitalwithserious injuries after being attacked by a dog outside a convenience store in the 9100 block of 120Streetin Surrey.

Police say thewoman was walking in the area "when she was attacked, unprovoked, by an unleashedgrey and white pit bull dog."

Video from the scene shows thewoman with a heavily bandaged right armbeing loaded into an ambulance. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The dog and its owner have not been located and police are investigating whether they fled the scene.

The owner is described as Caucasian male, late 30s to 40s, heavier build, wearing a black tank top, black sweat pants and black baseball hat.
