Surrey RCMP say a man who was visibly bleeding from his wounds was initially uncooperative with police on Friday.

Police were called to the food court of Surrey City Centre Mall around 4:45 p.m. PT for a report of a man who had been shot.

They found the man inside the mall suffering from two gunshot wounds, and he eventually agreed to be taken to the hospital.

They say the shooting victim is a Surrey resident in his 20s who has had a number of police contacts in the past.

RCMP added the man has not be forthcoming with where he was shot, but indicated it happened in another community.
