Three men have been charged in connection with violent sex assaults against women in the sex trade in Surrey.

Three men have been charged in connection with violent sex assaults against women in the Surrey sex trade dating back to 2012.

RCMP have laid 17 charges against three men accused of picking up and assaulting sex trade workers who were strolling King George Boulevard.

Simranpreet Singh Dhillon, Sukhraj Singh Chahal and Gurjinder Sodha face numerous counts of sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement and robbery.

Dhillon faces additional counts of aggravated sexual assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Police say in both incidents, the victims were sex trade workers who were picked up by two men they didn`t know, and then driven to secluded areas where they were sexually and physically assaulted.
