Vancouver Auto Show's jaw-dropping cars

TheVancouverAuto Show openedto the public on March 23 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.CBC News was given a sneak peek into some of the jaw-dropping vehicles at the show.

Many of the carswere pricey but several cost more than just money. There weretrue labours of love.

Aston Martin DB5

It's perhaps the most iconic of all ofJames Bond'svehicles: the Aston Martin DB5.

Thebeauty was first seen on the silver screenin 1963 driven by Sean Connery as Bondin Goldfinger.

This tribute car was builthere in Metro Vancouver,complete with Q's replica gadgets.

Batmobile

This custom-made replica wasbased on the design of the caped-crusader'scar as seenin the 1989 Batmanfilm starring Michael Keaton.

Rolls-Royce

A dreamy, handmadeRolls-Royce Phantom DropheadCoupe is on display at the show.

This one has a"Metropolitan Blue" exterior and "Casden Tan" interior.

Not for the faint of heart, it's priced at about$658,975 CAD.

Solo Electric Vehicle

There are more than just pricey rides at the auto show and you might even see a little bit of the future.

The Vancouver-made "Solo" is a single-seat, electric car thatwill take you from zero to 100km/h in eight seconds.

It's projected to costa far more reasonable $19,888 CAD.
