1 man dead in industrial area of South Vancouver
Fire crews, the B.C. Coroner Serviceand WorkSafeBC are on scene in an industrial neighbourhood of Vancouver where a man has died.
Incident took place on Oak Street near the intersection withWest Kent Avenue South
Fire crews, the B.C. Coroner Service and WorkSafeBC are in an industrial neighbourhood of Vancouver where a man has died.
In an email, a spokesperson forWorksafeBC,the agency that investigates workplace accidents, saidits investigator areattending the incident. It was notified of the death at approximately 1 p.m. PT.
A Vancouver Fire and RescueServices spokesperson said the incident took place on Oak Street near the intersection withWest Kent Avenue South an industrial area near the Fraser River. He termed the situationa "medical call."
The B.C. Coroner Servicesaid it is also at the scene of the incident, adding the person who diedwas in his 20s.
