Shoppers at Vancouver store, 2 bars, restaurant and passengers on several flights warned of COVID-19 exposure

UPDATE Aug. 12, 2020: This story has been updated with revised information from Vancouver Coastal Health about another new potential exposure to COVID-19 onAug. 8 atPierre's Champagne Lounge and West Oak Restaurant.

Vancouver Coastal Health has issued a warning of new COVID-19 exposures at a downtown Foot Locker and added new dates to previous notifications about bars and restaurants in the city.

It says the potential exposure dates at Foot Locker were Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 during operating hours.

The possible exposures are believed to be low risk, but it asks those who may have visited the store during that time to monitor for symptoms for 14 days and get tested if they are feeling ill.

New dates added to previous warnings

Some previously listed exposures have been expanded with additional dates, the health authority said in an emailed statement.

As a precaution, anyone who visited the following locations during the posted dates and times should be monitoring themselves for symptoms:

• Pierre's Champagne Lounge from July 31 to Aug. 8during operating hours.
• West Oak Restaurant from July 31 to Aug. 8during operating hours.
• PumpJack Pub from July 31 through to Aug. 2 during evening and late hours.

Advisories have also been issued for passengers on several planes arriving or leaving Vancouver after positive COVID-19 tests related to those flights.

Affected flights including Alaska Airlines flight 2930 from Seattle on July 31 and United Airlines flight 375 from San Francisco, although all passengers entering Canada from international destinations are required to self isolate for two weeks.

Air Canada passengers on flight 304 from Vancouver to Montreal on Aug. 1 have also been told to monitor themselves for symptoms.

In a tweet about a flight, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control remindedpeople arriving in the province they must be isolated for 14 days.
