Warrant issued for alleged SkyTrain groper Wolfgang Goffing

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a German tourist who was charged with sexual assault after allegedly groping a woman on the SkyTrain last year.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a German tourist who wascharged with sexual assault after allegedly groping a woman on the SkyTrain in Vancouver last year.

WolfgangGoffing, 44,was charged in March 2015 after allegedly groping a woman on the Canada Line during the morning commute.

The woman reported to police a man groped herbetween her legswith "some force"and that when she got off the train she yelled at him to leave with her, at which pointshe reported the incident to a Canada Line attendant.

Goffing was arrested and taken into custody. He was released on March 12 on $5,000 bail and was scheduled to return to Germany March 15.

Bail documents obtained by the CBC show the conditions of his release,including a statement that he must attend court.

The bail document does not specify any travel restrictions or order to surrender his passport.

The warrant was issued in February 2016.

At the time of the alleged offence, Transit Police saidGoffinghad a history of sexual offences.
