Senior citizen charged in homicide of 2 people in Vancouver apartment

Vancouver police have announced charges against a 73-year-old man following a double homicide in a West End apartment last week.

Vancouver police have announced charges against a 73-year-old man following a double homicide in a West End apartment last week.

Leonard Landrick, 73, was arrested Monday and subsequentlycharged with two counts of second degree murder.

He was a resident of 1835 Morton Ave, the same apartment building where Sandra McInnes, 57, and Neil Croker, 51, were found dead on July 10.

"There wereseveral subjects of interest in this investigation," said Sgt. Jason Robillard, and two people were originally arrested by police.

However, Robillard said Landrickis currently the only suspect.

"It was a very challenging case."

Landrick made his first appearance in court Tuesday, with his next appearance scheduled for August 1.
