2 dead in crash north of Cremona

Didsbury RCMP say a 76-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman from Qualicum Beach, B.C., were killed in a crash about 45 kilometres north of Calgary on Saturday.

Officers responded to acrash between a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F-350 on Highway 22 at Range Road 303 just northof Cremona, Alta., after 4:30 p.m.

A release from the RCMP says first responderstended to twopeople who were travelling in theToyota, however both of them died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It's unclear what caused the crash and RCMPsay officers continue to investigate.
