The frontlanding gear of an Air Canada Express plane collapsed after the aircraft touched down at the Calgary International Airport Tuesday.

The Beechcraft1900aircraft was carrying 15 passengers at the time, according to Air Canada spokeswoman Angela Mah.

No injuries were reported.

"We recognize that this would have been disconcerting to passengers, and can confirm that our regional Express partners are trained to handle events such as this and to look after our customers with care," Mah said in an email.

"Passengers deplaned using the usual passenger exit and werebused to the terminal."

Fourteen of the 15 passengers were booked onto other connecting flights later in the day, Mah said.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada said Tuesday it is deploying a team of investigators to look into the incident.

Air Canada Express flight AC7212 was en route to Calgary from Lethbridge.

Mah said Air Canada Express'spartner, Air Georgian, is inspecting and repairing the aircraft.
