Police recover suspect's vehicle after Airdrie rest stop stabbing
But the suspect remains at large
RCMP say they have recovered a suspect's vehicle after a weekend stabbing at a rest stop inAirdrie, Alta.,but the suspect still remains at large.
Police responded to a call about a shooting around 5:20 p.m. Sunday at Dickson Stevenson Rest Stop on Highway 2.
They found one man suffering from stab wounds and transported him to Calgary's Foothills hospital for treatment.
He is still recovering from his injuries, RCMP said in a release Tuesday.
Calgary police's HAWCS helicopter and the RCMP's canine unit searched for the suspect, who had fled the scene in ablack2009 Buick Enclave before police arrived.
The vehicle was found in Edmonton late Sunday night, but police are still searching for the suspect.
Police had previously said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
