Airdrie Starbucks robbed at gunpoint via drive-thru window

The coffee shop employee cooperated with demands and the suspect "fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash money," according to police.

A manwearing a black mask and a puma jacket rolled up to a Starbucks drive-thru inAirdrie, Alta., pulled out a gun and robbed the coffee shop from the comfort of his vehicle, according to police.

"The employee cooperated with the suspect's demands, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash money," RCMP said in a release.

The unusual robbery happened around 8:50 p.m. on Monday at the Starbucks in Airdrie's Stonegate area, according to police, who are now asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.

He is described as having light skin andlight-coloured eyes. He was wearing a black mask and a dark jacket with a small, white puma logo at the time of the robbery.

He was driving a a dark grey Honda Accord, estimated to be an early-2000s model, with four doors, tinted rear windows and a rear spoiler.
