Two Albertans have been charged after allegedly selling stolen goods on the online classifieds website Kijiji.

Airdrie RCMP believe the items were stolen through break-and-enters to homes in Airdrie, Chestermere and Spruce Grove and then posted for sale on Kijiji.

A 25-year-old Spruce Grove man and a 22-year-old Calgary woman have each been charged with six counts of possession of stolen property and fraud.

Of the stolen property recovered, the majority of items have now been returned to their rightful owners, police said in a press release.

The RCMP would like to remind consumers to be cautious when purchasing items on online auction sites, and be aware of potentially purchasing stolen property.
