Amanda Antoni's death 'very suspicious,' homicide investigating

There were signs of a violent incident at the Castleridge home where a Calgary woman was found dead on Monday by her husband, Calgary police say.

There were signs of a violent incident at the Castleridge home where a Calgary woman was found dead by her husband on Monday, Calgary police say.

The body of Amanda Antoni, 31, was foundin theCastledaleWay homeon Monday afternoon by her husband, Lee Antoni, whocalled 911, police said Tuesday.

First responders made the decisionto call police after assessing the situation as suspicious, according to a Calgary Police Service release.

Staff Sgt. Doug Andrus saidAntoni's husband has been co-operative and is not a suspect at this time. Lee Antoniwas out of townover the weekend and last spoke with her on Saturday night.

Police can't call the death a homicideuntil the medical examiner finishes the autopsy, which has been underway since Mondaybut investigators believe the situation is "very suspicious"and the homicide unit is leading the investigation.

There is no reported history of domestic conflict between the couple, police said.

The policeservice's technological crimes and cyber crimes units areare looking into Antoni's social media accounts and forensicallyexamining her electronic devices in an effort to determine whom she was in contact with prior to her death, police said.

The Antonis had just taken a trip to San Francisco with the victim'smother and her husband.

Messages of condolence were posted totheFacebookwalls ofAntoni'sfamily membersonTuesday.
