ASIRT investigates death of Red Deer man after police chase
45-year-old man led police on a chase in a stolen car was later found dead in wooded area
A 45-year-old Red Deer man involved in a police chase in early October wasfound dead this week and the province's police investigation unit has been called in to look at the case.

Red Deer RCMPsay they followed the man in a stolen car Oct. 6 to a wooded area near 32nd Street and Taylor Drive but lost track of two people that left the vehicle.
Police found the man in the same area deceased on Wednesday.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) says an autopsy shows no evidence that the man died as a result of contact with police, but the investigation will look at whetherpoliceactionswereconnected.
The second person who left the vehicle on Oct. 6 has been interviewed by police.
