The victim, Richard Pember of Calgary, was found in his apartment in the 1800 block of 17th Street S.W. Tuesday afternoon after his roommate alerted the fire department earlier in the day.

An autopsy on Wednesday confirmed the death was a homicide.

Rider is described as Aboriginal, 180 pounds and 5'8".
