Bear warning issued for popular Canmore lakes

Bears feeding on berries near Canmore have prompted a warning from Alberta officials.

Friday's warning covers a large area around Quarry Lake and Grassi Lakes, where "numerous bears" are feeding on berries. Both are popular destinations for both locals and tourists.

An Alberta Parks official said the warning ismeant to give people a heads up about bear activity in the area.
