4 children removed from Blood Tribe home after fentanyl trafficking arrests

Four people are facing charges and four children have been removed from their home after police discovered fentanyl and other drugs at a residence in Standoff on the southern Alberta Blood Tribe reserve.

Officers with the Blood Tribe police force executed a search warrant at the home early Friday morning, turning up almost 100 fentanyl tablets, as well as a small amount of cocaine and more than $4,000 believed to be proceeds of crime.

Blood Tribe Child Protection Services officials removed four children from the home.

Two 35-year-old men and two women, aged 24 and 20, were arrested.

They each face numerous drug possession and tracking charges, as well as putting a child in immediate danger of exposure to drugs and drug trafficking.
