Suspect arrested in Blood Tribe shooting

RCMP have issued a warrant for a suspect in a shooting that happened on the Blood Tribe on Saturday.

Police and EMS responded to a shooting at 2:25 a.m.

A 41-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to a Calgary hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said in an emailed release.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Kyle Lewis Crow Chief, 29, who is facing a charge of attempted murder.

Crow Chief is Indigenous, six feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has long brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black Helly Hansen windbreaker, dark jeans and a hat.

He was last known to be driving a 2018 black Jeep Compass with Alberta licence plate BVD9815.

Police said it's believed he's in possession of a firearm.
