A man's body has been found in the Norman Creek area of Banff National Park, about two kilometres from where the truck of missing Alberta man Jordan Darda was located.

The body has not yet been identified as 20-year-old Darda of Airdrie.

The cause of death is unknown. Lake Louise RCMP will be conducting a sudden death investigation.

Airdrie RCMP were informed of the discovery by Jasper National Park's search-and-rescue unit shortly before 2 p.m., they said in a news release. RCMP said there is no indication of foul play.

Darda, a University of Alberta student, went missing on the Labour Day long weekend after he left Edmonton for a camping trip in Jasper.

His pickup truck was found on Wednesday at the Pinto Lake trail head.
