This map shows which areas of Calgary have been hit hardest by COVID-19

The province has released more detailed data on where confirmed COVID-19 cases are in Alberta, including a more refined breakdown of cases in Calgary.

As of Monday afternoon, the northwest of the city is the hardest hit with 29 confirmed cases, while Calgary East has only one confirmed case. The densely populated Calgary Centre North has only two confirmed cases.

Of the 188 cases in the Calgary zone, the new data shows 155 of those are in the city proper, while the remaining 33 are spread across the region. The region stretches from Didsbury in the north to Claresholm in the south, and from Banff in the west to Gleichen in the east.

Two of those cases are in the Canmore health office but so far there are no confirmed cases on Tsuut'ina First Nation, which is located within that region.

The province says there are two cases where geographic information is not known and those two cases are not listed on the Alberta-wide map.
