A two-year-old boy fell out of a window in Calgary, the second child to suffer a fall this week.

The boy was playing on the top bunk of his bed on Friday when he fell.It was a two-storey drop, but the boy landed on grass.

He was taken to hospital with some serious soft-tissue injuries and is in stable condition. It happened on the 1100 block of 40th Street S.E.

Paramedicsare reminding the public once again to keep an eye on children around open windows. They recommend installing safety devices that restrict how widely a window can be opened and to never underestimate a child's ability to climb.

Earlier this week, a 5-year-old girl fell out a third-storey window in the neighbourhood of Cranston. She also suffered soft tissue injuries.
