Bus stop sex assault suspect faces new allegations he attacked, harassed 4 other women
Chase Collier now faces new charges of sexual assault, harassment and breaching bail conditions
The man accused of attacking a woman at a Calgary transitstop before a bus driver scared off the suspectnow faces five new charges, including a second count of sexual assault.
Chase Collier is also accused of harassing three local women and failing to comply with his bail conditions.
The new charges which allegedlytook place before the bus stop attackwere laid afterCollier was arrested for aggravated sexual assault.
Police began looking at older, unsolved cases and found the circumstances of the second sexual assault to besimilar to the first reported incident.The alleged victim was reportedly followed from a public transit stop.
The prosecution indicated Monday it is trying to have Colliertriedfor both sex assault chargesat the same time, but defence lawyer Ben Leung opposes the move.
"He has a right to remain silent, even at trial," said Leung. "We want to make sure that if he chooses to testify in his own defence in one matter, he can do so while choosing to remain silent on the other matter."

Bus driver AmandeepHunjanarrived just as theman forced the victim to the ground and attempted to continue the sexual assault, police said at the time.
After investigators announced they were looking for him,Collier surrendered to police.
Collier appeared in court on Monday and will be back Nov. 4 when lawyers will argue their positions on whether the sexual assault charges can be tried at the same time.
