3 Calgary schools shortlisted for Canadian Music Class Challenge 2016

Music students at three Calgary schools could still win a high-tech portable recording studio for their cover of a Canadian song in CBC Music's Canadian Music Class Challenge.

In September, music teachers across the country were asked to record a video of their class performing their selected tune and upload it to CBC Music.

After receiving more than 500 entries, judges have shortlisted the 10best videos in each of the six categories, with three entries from Calgary making the grade.

Watch their video entries below.The winners will be announced Dec.16, 2016.
