Police ask for help identifying suspect wanted in LRT sexual assault

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who kissed and touched woman on a C-Train platform last month.

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man in connection to a sexual assault in southwest Calgary last month.

In a release, police saida woman was approached by an unknown man while she waswaiting for a C-Train at the downtown/West Kerby LRT platform just after12:30 p.m. onNov. 1.

Police say the man was asking the woman for information about the train schedule when he allegedly began following and kissing the woman multiple times on her cheek and neck.

The woman pushed the man away but the man continued to touch her until the woman pushed past him and boarded the incoming train, police said.

The womantold police she saw the man approach another femaleon the platform. Police said security camera images taken in the area showthe man approaching at least two females.

The man is described as being in his late 40s to 50s, approximately five feet seven inches tall with a heavy build and white beard. He was wearing a grey hat, black jacket, blue shirt, white trousers and brown shoes. He spoke broken English with an accent.

The second female has not yet been identified.
