Calgary police have charged a man for the sexual assault of a real estate agent who was hosting an open house in the city's southeast.

The incident took place on June 22 on the 800-block of McKenzie Dr. S.E.

At about 2 p.m., a man entered the open house and "after multiple interactions with the victim, the victim was sexually assaulted and police were called," according to police.

A search of the area came up empty, according to police, but the service says tips from the public and video footage from the area helped them track down the suspect.

At the time of the incident, police said the man grabbed the woman and "touched her sexually without consent."

Police said the real estate agent was able to convince the man to leave, but he returned repeatedly even after the woman locked the door and called for help.

ParthasarthiRamakrishnan, 39, of Calgary, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault on Oct. 29.

Police said the attack was random and the victim and suspect did not know each other.
