Calgarians shocked to see two moose trotting across Shouldice Bridge in northwest Calgary

There were two moose on the loose in Montgomery on Monday afternoon.

It's one thing to see wildlife near the Bow River, but it's another to see them crossing it on a bridge

There were somemoose on the loose Monday afternoon in Calgary.

Two of themajestic animals took an afternoon stroll throughShouldice Park and across the Shouldice Bridgein the northwest community of Montgomery.

The sight of the moose shocked walkersand drivers alike as the animals, one large, one small,took a mid-afternoon shortcut across the bridge and through the parknear theBow River.

Drivers and pedestrians gave the large animals a wide berth.

Susan Smithmanaged to capture a short video as she was out for an afternoon walk dog walk in Shouldice Park, and Jennifer Achenbach managed to capture the photos of the moose crossing the bridge, which she posted to the Facebook groupBorn And/or Raised Bownesian.
