Calgary pair busted using fake U.S. bills in Airdrie

A Calgary pair is facing charges after RCMP say they were using counterfeit U.S. currency in Airdrie businesses, police said in a release Friday.

A Calgary pair is facing charges after theRCMP say they were using counterfeit U.S. currency in Airdrie businesses, police said in a release Friday.

A 32-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were caught on surveillance video in businesses around the city passing the fake bills.

Each isfacing eight charges of uttering counterfeit money.

Calgary police assisted theRCMPin the investigation.

The man is scheduled to appear in court April 21, the woman has yet to be scheduled.

They are currently in custody.
