Suspect wanted for string of 5 armed robberies

Calgary police say a suspect "pulled out a weapon" and demanded cash in five armed robberies in the city over two nights.

Calgary police are looking for a man they believe is responsible for five armed robberies over two nights in the city.

Early Tuesday morning, a man produced a weapon and demanded money from the Mac's convenience store in the 800 block of 68thStreet N.E., just before 3 a.m., said Det.Travis Ibach.

A short time later, police believe the same person robbed a 7-Eleven in the 3700 block of 30th Avenue S.E.

Three armed robberies also took place Sunday night, targetingtwo businesses and one person. Police believe the same suspect was responsible for those crimes as well.

There were no injuries in any of the incidents.

Police are looking for a black man, believed to bein his 30s, of medium build.
