Calgary police release sketch of man wanted in sexual assault involving sunscreen

Calgary police released a drawing Friday of a man who they say applied sunscreen to a womans arms and thighs without her consent.

Calgary police released a composite sketch Friday of a man who they say applied sunscreen to a woman's arms and thighs without her consent.

The incidenthappened on Canada Dayat about 3 p.m., according to the new release.

Police say a woman was sitting near the Bow River on the north side ofHarvie Passage when she was approached by a stranger.

The man had sunscreen with him and applied it to the woman's arms and thighs without her consent, police say. The woman got up and left the area.

Police say the sketch is being released more than three months after the incident because they were working closely with the victim to ensure the sketch's accuracy. They are investigating the incident as a sexual assault.

Police say the suspect is white,stands about 5-10and has an average build. At the time of the incident, police sayhe was wearing a tan baseball hat, black shorts and was not wearing a shirt or shoes. He had a black mountain bike nearby.

"We want to remind Calgarians that sexual touching without consent is sexual assault. It has a lasting impact on the victim and can leave them feeling unsafe and vulnerable in public for many years after the incident," police said in a statement.
