Calgary police arrest 2 people in connection with June homicide

Calgary police have arrested two people in connection with a homicide that took place in the northeast Calgary community of Rundle in late June.

Calgary police have arrested two people in connection with a homicide that took place in the northeast Calgary community of Rundle in late June.

Austen Cole Jamieson, 27, and Sajid Courtland Holloway, 29, have both been charged with one count of first-degree murder. Both will appear in court on July 20.

On June 25, a man was found dead in the alley of the2600 block of 38th Street N.E. at approximately 3 p.m.

The man was later identified as37-year-old Calgary residentBlake Louis Walker.

"This investigation is ongoing," said Staff Sgt.Colin Chisholm in a release.

"We thank the public for their assistance and remind everyone to share information with us, so that we can make sure public safety is maintained."

On June 26, police said they had located a dark blue 2005 GMC Sierra truck with Alberta license plate CJD8152 which was believed to beconnected to the homicide.
