Homicide unit to investigate 'targeted' shooting in N.E. Calgary

The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating what is believed to bea targeted shooting Friday night in the northeast community of Homestead.

Det.Jason Ip says policediscovered the body of a man in the 200block of Homestead Drive N.E. when they arrived on the scene at approximately 7:20 p.m.

Ip saidsuspects had fled the area before officers arrived.

He says police are collecting CCTV from the area and are urging anyone with information to call police at 403-266-1234.
