Woman linked to Calgary quadruple killing arrested in Toronto

A woman police sought after the slayings of four people in Calgary has been arrested in Toronto.

A woman police sought after the slayings of four people in Calgary has been arrested in Toronto.

YuChiehLiao, 24, who goes by the first name Diana, was taken into custody on Thursday night.

She waswanted on a Canada-wide warrant for fraud. Police say Liaoisthought to have played a "significant role" in what officers described as the brutal and ruthless slayings of four people.

She is currently facing unrelated fraud charges. Calgary police say investigators have travelled to Toronto and Liao will be brought back with them at some point.

Her arrest comesafter25-year-oldTewodros Mutugeta Kebedewas taken into custody on July 18 on charges unrelated to the homicides.

Last week, Calgary police were looking for Kebede, who had not yet been identified, because he was likely travelling withLiao.

Four victims identified

Sisters GlynnisFox, 36, and Tiffany Ear, 39, along with Cody Pfeiffer, 25, were found deadin a burned-out carin Sage Hill, in northwest Calgary, on July 10.

HanockAfowerk, 26, was found dead in a ditch near Highway 22 and Highway 8 on July 12.

Police suspect all four deaths are connected and that the three people in the car were caught up in a targeted attack against Afowerk.

Police believe multiple people might have been involved in the killings.
